Earlier Projects
Bangchak Petroleum
Construction of a very
large green-field refined products terminal in Bang Pa-In province north of
Bangkok.
The terminal receives
product via pipeline from a refinery in Bangkok and loads tankers for shipments
up-country.
The rack has twelve (12)
islands to accommodate up to twenty-four tankers at a time.
BP Oil and
Kuwait International
Locally fabricated
modularized gantry systems designed under contract in Australia for a
jointly owned and operated terminal.
Scope included three (3)
gantries.
Caltex (Thailand)
The most reliable
positive displacement custody-transfer petroleum meters for upgrading
terminal instrumentation.
Conoco Thailand Ltd.
Green-field refined
products terminal receiving product via pipeline. Truck loading gantry using latest field
instrumentation.
Final design,
engineering, fabrication, and ship-out of the skid-mounted pipeline
metering and proving system from Corpus Christi, TX. The system is composed of three
independent ten-inch turbine meter runs with full by-pass headers and a bi-directional
prover.
Field installation and
commissioning of inlet metering system in Saraburi,
Thailand.
State of the art control
systems using two-wire can-bus communications out to remote access and
field instrumentation.

Smith Meter on the project.
Esso Standard
Thailand
Small-volume compact
prover used for dynamic calibration of meters. Air elimination tank and pressure/flow
control valves are used to purge air from liquid pipelines and reduce
measurement loss.
Excise Department,
Thai Ministry of Finance
During the 1980s and
1990s smuggling of diesel fuel into Thailand became a very large problem
for revenue authorities. A metering
system was locally designed, fabricated and commissioned for eighteen (18)
seaside terminals that received product via ships or barges. Electro-mechanical interlocks/permissives, remote authorization, and monitoring from
Excise headquarters makes this one of the largest SCADA systems in the
world. Actual fuel quantities, flow rates, and other relevant data are sent
via redundant communications systems which are then displayed real-time in
Bangkok. Project worth approximately
$20 million USD.
Mobil Oil
Thailand
Locally designed,
engineered, and fabricated modular skid-mounted metered batch blending
system for the lube oil plant.
Petchburi Terminal
One of the largest
seaside terminals in southeast Asia.
Located in Petchburi province in western
Thailand, the terminal receives refined product via undersea pipeline from
a ship birth about 14 km offshore.
The facility is state of the art, furnished with the latest
instrumentation used to control product receiving, storage, and
transfer. Project worth approximately
$120 million USD.
The Petroleum Authority
of Thailand (PTT)
First terminal in
Thailand to use custody-transfer turbine meters and electronic presets at
the truck-loading gantry with a GUI terminal automation and control system in
the operations room. This facility
is located in Sriracha, Thailand.
Very large-scale project
involving two new terminal sites at Lumlukka and Saraburi, Thailand.
Scope of supply included
eleven (11) modularized gantry systems with local fabrication, integration
and commissioning.
Inlet metering and proving
equipment imported from the USA.
Project worth approximately $75 million USD.
Shell Companies of
Thailand (SCOT)
Upstream production
facility in Sirikit, Phitsanulok
province.
Facilities include a
separation process, truck and rail loading of crude, and LPG truck loading.
Truck and rail loading facilities
at new refinery in Rayong, Thailand.
Truck loading facilities fabricated in Europe and shipped to
Thailand for installation and commissioning. Rail loading facility to act as primary
method to ship product from the refinery in Rayong to terminals in Bangkok
and northern and northeastern Thailand.
Thai Petrochemical
Industries (TPI)
Large-scale integrated
petrochemical complex with offshore pier.
Mechanical and fluid
systems include over forty (40) marine loading arms and associated metering
and proving equipment.
Thai Petroleum
Pipeline (Thappline)
Thailand’s longest
multi-products pipeline which begins at a terminal Sri Racha,
transiting through Lumlukka, and terminating at Saraburi, Thailand.
Eight major oil companies own the pipeline: BP, Esso, Shell, Caltex,
Mobil, PTT, Thai Oil and Kuwait.
ThaiPo Limited
Offshore production and
loading of a vessel outfitted for floating production storage and
offloading (FPSO).
On-board is a
skid-mounted custody-transfer metering system.
